I have 2 TB of external SSD backup unit using a machine with my iMac. It worked great for 6 years and regular backups of my hard disk iMac.
Suddenly it stopped backing up doob and in fact the disk is now “read only”. I can neither delete folders nor any files from the external unit. I have noticed that the drive is used 1.83 TB, with only 166.03 GB “available”. If possible, I would not want lots of files that I have backed up in these years.
Is there any way to delete folders from this problematic external unit to make more space available, allowing me to access everything per units? Now it is necessary to erase everything on the unit and start again?
