Launchpad is part of the Mac operating system from OS X Lion, which was released in 2011. After 14 years the launchpad is started, replaced by applications in MacOS Tahoe.
Apps works a lot like Launchpad as a way to access your application folder, but has a new look and does not allow any customization.
