Launchpad is part of the Mac operating system from OS X Lion, which was released in 2011. After 14 years the launchpad is started, replaced by applications in MacOS Tahoe.
Apps works a lot like Launchpad as a way to access your application folder, but has a new look and does not allow any customization. You can view the applications either by category or by name, and then view the app as icons or in the list. That’s all. A list of proposals above is based on your recent activity.

Launchpad was one of Apple’s first attempts to unify the user interface elements between the Mac and iPhone operating system. Launchpad Basalely brought the home screen iPhone on Mac – the world in the same way. With Launchpad you could customize different pages of girls with applications such as a page designed for tools or video editing games. You can also create applications folders that appear on the Launchpad page. You can do none of this in Tahoe applications.
When you start MacOS Tahoe, you will find an icon of applications sitting in Dock, where Launchpad used to be. However, without the way the application shows your applications, it may be more difficult to get the desired application. You may need to do some scrolling to get the right category and you may need to click More show If your app does not appear. It is better to enter the application name in the search line at the top of the application window.
Race, you can still open the application folder in finding in Tahoe. When you can go to Folder to Folder or Press Shift+Command+A, or run applications with Spotlight.
Launchpad still exists in beta tahoe beta, but only in spirit. If you make a search (command+f; will not work with the reflector/command+spacebar) on the “launchpad”, as a result, the launchpad icon appears. You can open it, but instead the app will start. You can control+click and select View in folder, folder, And it will appear in the Applications folder – open the application folder in any other case, you will not see it. This Phantom Launchpad can be alias that maintains the integrity of scripts and other items that are closed on the launchpad.
If you want to bring back the launchpad, you can face terminal commands, but we recommend using an extreme deposit. The fundamental outweighs system that replaces the Apps application, and in my experience it also prohibits the reflector. And while this trick works in Tahoe beta, it is possible that a work event may stop.
